VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

It's time to vote for the winners of the Seventh Annual People's Choice Awards!

In 2010, the forum's architects gave us a small, but incredibly diverse, selection of wonderful holds. For another year, they worked tirelessly in designing both devious and entertaining puzzles, writing engaging stories, and presenting their work in beautifully laid out levels. Their efforts are the blood that keeps DROD and the DROD community alive. Let's reward them by voting for our favorites.

Architects are expected to vote for themselves, unless they've got really, really, really good reasons not to. Remember, once you push the "vote" button at the bottom of the poll, you can't go back and edit your choices, so please double-check your selections. And, no clicking "view results" without voting, please!

You have two weeks to vote. :)

Wow, something along the lines of eleven votes were made in the short seven hours that this poll has been up. Go go go community effort!

Ah, well. First to post saying I voted is not too bad, I suppose.

Thanks to CSR for organizing this poll and doing a good job handling the submissions. I hope to see your great work in the Eighth Annual People's Choice Awards! :thumbsup

Only four categories are tied right now? I'd have thought they'd all be tied. We need more voting, more voting, more voting! Remember how exciting the tiebreaker was last time? ;)

Also, thank you, 12th, for voting. Here is a spoostlefish for you. His name is George. He enjoys sleeping, board games, and rice crispies. Please take good care of him.

Unfortunately I've haven't played any of these holds since I'm on a DROD break at the moment so the only category I can realistically vote on is the lifetime achievement award, which I have done.

Anyone in a similar position to me should at least be able to do the same - it will only take a few minutes!

Massive thanks to CSR for organising this again - truly one of the cornerstones of the DROD community :Notworthy

Congrats to all those nominated.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for voting!

Here is Jeremy, a spoostlefish for Martz. Jeremy likes cucumber, if it's cut up into really small pieces. He's also a lot smarter than he looks. He can do simple addition problems, like 2 + 1, but hasn't yet learned how to communicate his answers.
:fish

And here is Edward, a spoostlefish for Larry. Edward usually prefers the lower left corner of his tank, unless he sees the color yellow, in which case he will enthusiastically swim circles everywhere. A great conversation starter!

I hope we see more forum (and architecture) activity when DROD 4.x comes out later this year, but there are still some great holds in here.

My vote is in there somewhere. I'm just here now to claim my spoostlefish.

Thank you very much for voting, Penwielder!

Here is Sarah, a spoostlefish for you. Sarah is normally a stoic fish, and enjoys practicing tai chi, but she just can't handle vacuum cleaners. The vacuum hose fitted with the dusting attachment sends her into a catatonic state of fright. Please try not to tease her too much.

Of course! And thank you for voting!

Here is Roger, a spoostlefish for Blondbeard. Roger is a rather naive fish, who finds it fascinating how a cat's eyes will follow him as he swims back and forth in his tank. Fortunately, he's also a very fast swimmer, and good at navigating obstacle courses too.

Spoostlefish are indeed excellent companions. And thank you for voting!

Here is Christine, a spoostlefish for Elfstone. Affectionately known to friends as Ouija Fish, Christine has an uncanny ability to predict the future. Ask her a question, and she'll swim to the right for "yes" and to the left for "no".

Certainly. Thank you for voting!

Here is Bryan, a spoostlefish for rman. Bryan is convinced that the plastic sea castle in his tank is edible and delicious. He hasn't figured out how to eat it, but that doesn't stop him from trying, from every possible angle, over and over again. He is one persistent fish!

Well, you know, spoostlefish are usually spawned by other spoostlefish. And they're good eating, so that's the "sweet". I guess ones with children have tastier flesh due to hormones or something?

And thank you very much for voting, Ezlo!

Here is Heidi, a spoostlefish for Ezlo. Heidi is a shy fish. You will hardly ever see her turquoise green colored eyes, because she thinks you can't see her if she can't see you.
:fish

Ooops! It looks like another spoostlefish has taken a giant gravity-defying leap into the tank! This is Max. Max likes Heidi. A lot.

Here is Alexander, a spoostlefish for Shendy. Alexander hopes that you will put him near the TV, because he loves watching international soccer matches. His vice is corn chips. No matter how much he asks, please try not to give him too many of those, as they really grease up his tank.

There are only six more days to vote, and only three of the ten categories are tied. Let's try to get a healthy number of votes in each category!

And yes, if you vote, you may have a spoostlefish too. :)

Here is Michael, a spoostlefish who thinks he is a shark! Put some food in the far side of his tank, he will race across at full speed and lunge at it, splashing water everywhere. Great fun to watch, but you might want to keep some towels near his tank.

Well, then, the awards ceremony will be coming up in just a few hours...

EDIT: Make that tomorrow. I'm too tired to do a good job right now.
