Okay, a few suggestions for voting.

Architects: Give yourselves a 10, but vote EVERYONE else fairly.
Everyone: Remember that this contest isn't about the hardest maze, or the maziest maze, but the funnest maze. Try to keep that in mind.

Oh man, I have to start running a contest just so I can write a funny first question. :)

Oh well, I'll just download the other entries and play them.

Jason, is 3S1W of level 3 possible in your entry? I can kill all the guards (after they've passed the door the mimic-bomb shuts) but it doesn't clear the room. There's no other way to kill stuff, and I can't find any secret staircases.

I've already unlocked the lock.

I solved Mikko's maze.

Even though it was strictly a maze, I thought there was a very nice metapuzzle. There are three things you need to do.

Click here to view the secret text

I actually did 3 before 2, and was pleasantly surprised. Now I know how the people who did level 13 the wrong way felt. :-O

For the most part, I agree with you Jason. I'm still trying to complete Rabscuttle's maze - just have to get back to the entrance now.

You have to kill the guards without turning your sword. It is possible but difficult.

Ah... never thought of that. I'll go do it then. ;)

By the way, I ended up dropping the main twenty trapdoors in your secret room, but left the "entrance" one for last... oops. Guess I need a new strategy.

must... stop... playing... this room!

Lst6, the guards in the Map Chamber can be cleared, should've made them a little harder :P

Quite a few of the entries were rather fun to play through. I won't go in-depth, but I will say that I enjoyed Rabscuttle's and Jason's the most.

I was about to comment on that - Stefan's Guard Massacre makes this room look like a piece of cake.

Not like it was, ya know, just saying there's harder out there that's possible.

Chaco, the second floor of your hold for this is driving me crazy.

Either Chaco or someone who's finished that hold, tell me, is there another floor past the second in Chaco's entry?

Well, use the Editor, thats why it should be Anyone edit, and well, How did I know the last chamber was completable, who cares, main intencion of the guards were to force you to the exit and a bit of story anyway. And about the way to mazy comment, well, it's a maze, so the mazier the better, but anyway included some not so mazy rooms because someone needs a break of so many mazes afterall. (And I had run out of non repetitive Ideas)

Yeah, I purposefully designed level 2 so the puzzles were symmetrical - after solving one puzzle you can just go straight across to solve a similar puzzle. It was pretty fun making the rooms similar, yet different.

And yes, it's just 2, then 1. But there is a surprise at the end of 2.

EDIT:

What are you guys talking about? Neather2's entry is perfectly solvable.

Isn't it anyone edit? But I remember marking it so, going to check and if not i'm going to post a anyone edit version.
And Ezlo really said a time ago he would do the compilation, and before I forget, graphs will be posted in this thread about how the voting is going every X days.

Edit: if it isnt another version, it should be anyone edit.
Another edit: and I solved that part Tokyokid, but the end stairs lead back to the start, so technically it's impossible as no stairs end the hold.

Remember guys, you can skip the maze if you want - but then you don't get to play the Indiana-Jones style trap rooms.

Hikari, I want to tell you that in my hold, first floor 1N is not bugged, I just played through the whole room, and it works fine, I think that what happens is that you have not activated all 4 NPC's appear command so that the guard appears and kills the rattlesnake. I'm sure I know which one you are missing.

Are you using 2.0.13 on your computer?
When I was playing it, for some reason, the guard NPC appeared at some point between when I turned on the second and third NPCs, and already pointing north. It's happened several times.

The problem isn't so much the early appearance, as much as the starting in the north-pointing position rather than northwest-pointing. What ends up happening is the guard appears but doesn't kill the rattlesnake, thus rendering the room unsolvable and unescapable simultaneously.

Don't worry too much about it right at this moment... Just get it working by the time the compilation comes out.

It's too late for me to change my vote anyways, y'know?

Yep, I do know, but I don't care for votes, I care for the fun of the players, and if it is buggy and is not fun, then I will fix it as quick as I can. (well, actually I just need to do the level for Jeff_Ray says and for the differences, but still don't have any idea through)

Well, I agree that the second level of my entry is much less of a maze than my first level. My intention was for the really long passageways (and the fact that you can get to any of the thirty rooms from 1S) to sort-of qualify it for addition. However, I do realise that a maze is not a maze without dead ends, so I then built the first level.

And let me tell you, I started running out of ideas near the end. It was definitely a good idea to reduce it in size from the 7 by 7 square I started out with.

Well, anyway, I don't think there were any bugs, but if people complain a whole lot about one of the level 2 rooms I might make it easier. I know some of the tar/mud rooms can be pretty brutal.
