Thanks a lot Pekka! It turns out I had the first three steps you posted figured out. I only needed to see your fourth step to crack it! I kept making a faulty assumption this whole time.

Of course you need to use it in other level shenanigans! Otherwise what would be the point of even having it there?

You'll need to make sure you can use it to help out, but can still get it back to the left at the appropriate elevation when all is said and done.

About level 49:

You need to have a specific blue stone go left to reach the blue stone that can be bloomed in one way only, namely by taking this stone in its bloomed form there.

You may ask: Do I need the blue stone to go above or below the wide grey that starts on the same level?

On reading Lakrits' hint to level 48 I discovered it too has two different solutions. In this case the solutions differ at least as to have two different kinds of stones necessarily end up in different relative positions after the moves diverge. It isn't about just swapping indistinguishable grey stones or other minor trick of move ordering.

Challenge: Find at least two different solutions to level 48.

EDIT: I no longer want to look for multiple solutions to other levels. I thus removed my writing here. I still have a walkthrough for all the levels of the game and I can send it to anyone who asks me specifically for it.
