Shall we make new arrows which behave like doors?

If the statement is "on", they work like normal arrows, if "off", they don't affect anything.

There could be:

Yellow arrows (toggable by orbs)
Blue arrows (toggles when level is cleared)
Green arrows (toggles when room is cleared)
Red arrows (toggles when all trapdoors are dropped)
Black arrows (toggles when all tarstuff is cleared)
(Master arrows (toggles when hold is mastered))

But i don't know would they be rotatable by arrow rotators.
Suggestions?

I like it, and they would probably work well with toggleable arrow-rotator tokens (especially for master walls)

Not quite the same effect; monsters will be blocked by the door but not the arrow.

Also, brain pathmaps dodge arrows, so turning on and off force arrows could be quite interesting, especially in this diagram:

(v is a South-facing yellow togglable arrow)

Beethro can walk back and forth through that corridor, but brained monsters won't consider it a path to Beethro (unless the arrow opens, or the hallway becomes clogged, unbraining the monsters, or Beethro makes himself inaccessible, unbraining the monsters, or...) In addition, Seep can't go through force arrows only, just walls. (But togglable force arrows could be put on walls, and thus dropped without destroying the wall.)

In addition to the aesthetic value, I think this has some puzzle potential, if only due to the fact that it turns a space from empty into a force arrow instead of from empty to a wall. I am in favor of this idea.

By the way, Wonderquest uses arrows that toggle by orbs.

The red, black, blue and etc arrows are new though. I think the red and black arrows are pretty intriguing ideas... definitely more interesting than toggling arrows with an orb.

a level where you, when you drop the blue door, have to go back with arrows activated, resulting in different rooms that you'll have to solve.

I would think blue arrows and master arrows would be pretty much redundant with the existing doors or door/arrow combinations. I might even argue that the puzzle potential of green arrows is pretty much the same as the puzzle potential of green doors.

however, the yellow arrows toggled to "open space" by orbs have been proven by Wonderquest to be an excellent feature (as has been previously pointed out).

red and black arrows may or may not be also awesome, but if I had to make a TODO list, I'd put orb-toggled arrows pretty high and red/black arrows way, way down the list, because I think the puzzle potential of the red/black arrows might be redundant, and, in any case, less commonly useful
(especially if orb-toggled arrows are implemented: you can then just put an orb behind an appropriately colored gate)

All these threads about toggling arrows with orbs etc. can be closed, as this can be done in 5.0.
(Although the green-door-equivalent etc. arrows can't... but those seem less useful.)
