A few minutes ago they said they will get the play schedule up on their site soon. I'll post a URL when I see it.

Edit: they have the Interviews schedule up, but the schedule of gameplay will be up later today.

Looks like DROD is next up:
http://iggmarathon.com/progress.php
Schedule is at the bottom of that page.

Edit #1: Well, the schedule says it's up next, but I don't think it will be...I dunno.
Edit #2: Hmm...they skipped right over it (according to the schedule).
Edit #3: They're apparently having technical difficulties with DROD, though they said they were working on it.

They're playing DROD: King Dugan's Dungeon (in the DROD 2.0 engine) right now, and they're about to start level 2.

The guy playing seems to kinda know what's what, but I can't see him getting terribly far, even just in KDD.

Yeah, I suggested playing the start of JtRH, but they preferred to do KDD, since at least one of their guys had some previous exposure to those levels. Thanks for helping them out, guys.

It was fun to watch them play into the Third Level of KDD. After The Impossible Game, DROD was looking surprisingly good and not quite so menacing. So, I can't complain about the placement in the line-up. I'm glad they got their technical issues sorted out at the beginning of the play.

As we are all well aware, DROD is not for sissies. They got further in the time they had than I thought they would. They were good sports about playing this game that's more than just reaction time or quickly pressing a bunch of buttons.

Have fun watching this event over the weekend, and thanks to the IGG organizers and players, and to everyone here who has donated or is donating to Child's Play!

Well, it's that time of year again. The marathon is starting again in about two days, and we may be able to get DROD some more exposure.

Apparently they've made some changes to their timeslot scheduling so as to give them greater flexibility - so if they want to spend two more minutes on a game to get to The Interesting Part, they can extend the clock to do so.

IGFG reached out to me to have an option for DROD in the lineup again this year. I'm glad DROD can get this exposure.

Personally, however, I am unhappy with how they treated DROD the past couple of times. Possibly, that has to do with skewed expectations from what I discussed with them in private communications. Regardless, here's to hoping that more good can come out of it this year! :)

The official main games start off fairly slow and aren't that exciting to watch.

(although I am still proud of GateB, I don't suppose the basic roach/orb rooms leading up to the true court would be that much fun or challenging for them to play)

Is it possible to suggest they play something more challenging like Flood Warning, or to start a few levels into one of the main holds (e.g. the introduction to the slayer in level 3 JtRH)?

If you watched the last two times, you might have noticed they had a hard enough time just making it through the first level of KDD and JtRH.

I spoke to the IGFG team and they reassured me they have a better scheduling approach this year. They also said they'll have a player on DROD who is not a newbie, so he can make a decent showing of what it's like to play through the game.

Yesterday, it looks like one or maybe two people donated to DROD. Getting in donations before the event starts in a few hours gives DROD the most playtime during the event once it is scheduled.

Well, it looks like the crew played DROD at about 1:55 AM local time last night.

(or, at about 11:18:45 in this video: )

Thanks for posting a link to the recording!

Looks like the actual DROD play starts at 2:02, and they say at that point that they will play for an hour.

Edit: Ugh...they have the same technical problems and make the exact same mistakes as last time when they played. They had assured me they would have these taken care of ahead of time, so this is disappointing.

It's interesting seeing a relatively inexperienced player navigate the early levels of JtRH. They're really a lot harder than most of us tend to think they are.

Well, they actually claimed he's been playing DROD for a long time, but you're right.

Sometimes I forget how long I have been doing this, and compared to a lot of the people on this forum, I am inexperienced! It's an odd feeling.
