Many of you are probably aware, but for those who are not, Mattcrampy has given me permission to compile the Holds al Dente contest (
link for those of you who are skeptical
).
Anyways, I have basically finished the compilation and will be setting up a CaravelNet Beta Board for it within the next few days to start the process of testing. If you are interested in being a tester, post here or send me a PM and I will invite you when I set it up.
Testing for this hold may be a little different than others, so I will outline essentially what this testing hopes to accomplish:
- Determine which entries are (and, perhaps more importantly, are not) possible to conquer and/or master. I will likely include a warning by the corresponding stairs for the entries that are determined to be uncompletable / unmasterable (or those that seem to be uncompletable / unmasterable).
- Some entries will be required to complete in order to complete this compilation hold. We need to ensure these required entries are completable.
- I think I checked all the stairs, but we all know about stair bugs, and this has a lot of stairs...
- Any other miscellaneous problems.
It is important to note that, unlike other holds, it is certainly the case that some rooms (and therefore some entries) will not be possible to complete. I will point out right now that these will not be fixed. All entries will be preserved exactly how their respective architect left them.
This is also a good time to point out that any fixed / improved versions of any of the entries should be sent to me as soon as possible (either PM me a link from which I can download it, or PM me and I will send you an e-mail address to which you can send it).
I will also mention now that three architects did not give explicit permission for their entries to be included in this compilation, so I will be unable to include them unless these architects (you should know who you are) give me permission. I realize it is unfortunate that it does not look like this compilation will be complete because of this, but I think 23 of 26 is not so bad.
