I am wondering if anyone thinks that it would be possible to make puzzles with a plane shift. Know I know what you're thinking, he has gone off his rocker, well I haven't. What I mean is, would it be possible to move all the rooms in a level over ten squares and down five, resulting with different puzzles? Just an idea for a future hold and I wanted to know if it was practical.

Well, if you create a different level like that and name it the same, yeah. Otherwise, with the current scripting commands, not practically.

For the record, I know exactly what you are talking about, and the only reason I haven't done it myself yet is because I haven't had the time :)

More clever architectural ways to make rooms look similar but behave differently!

No. I mean the second level would have the exact layout as the level before it, at least it would look that way on the mini map. In reality the rooms wouldn't line up with the edge of the screen anymore.

Yes, yes, that was exactly the plan - rooms where the relative positions of the chambers relative to the room boundaries are different, causing shenanigans where potions, long monsters, bombs, etc. are seperated from other room elements.

Well, if you're up to the challenge, make sure it's done well :)

Yeah, it's a cool idea. You'd probably have to rearrange the monsters, door associations etc to get interesting rooms (but it would be really neat if you don't need to)

Doing it by hand might be annoying though. (or is it? I forget if you can copy between rooms in the editor.)
