Has anybody noticed something that’s always happening to Beethro, and indeed, any controlled character? They’re always surviving. Ok, sure, in a hold like
Beethro’s Teacher, the survive to die ratio might be a bit low. But even then, just like you know that the main character is impervious in an action movie, you know that Beethro, armed only with a Really Big Sword™, will prevail. Doesn’t that ever get a bit boring? Furthermore, wouldn’t it be a bit more convenient if it was harder to die by accident? So why not switch the two!
Rules:
For this contest, you must make a hold, with up to 4 rooms (on up to 4 levels) using the DROD 3.1 engine. The point of it is to die.
If you really want to use the RPG engine instead, you can make an unofficial entry, or you can complain. Enough of either and I’ll modify the contest to accommodate you.
You may use as much scripting as you wish. Just remember if you make things too confusing, you’re going to be unpopular.
You may make up to 3 entries
Voting
People will vote in this like they judge normal DROD rooms. That is, enjoyment is the most important characteristic. Then comes Style, presentation, the obvious.
Bonus points for dark humour

Note: I did think about making people agree to have their entries complied, but I don't think they would be eligible for the holds board, somehow.
