Maybe we should have a system where, if someone is downmodded to minus figures they can't post until re-instated.

There are a lot of people that registered long ago but never made a post. Eliminating would be rather rude, since they never did anything wrong.

They most likely registered to look at an H&S topic but found the information they were looking for and had no reason to post. I bet you that they occassionally come back to look at another H&S topic, so making them re-register every time they come back would, again, be awfully rude.

I'm not sure one post is enough to call him a spammer, and he's not linking to anything not in the profile and not in the posts. Maybe he's just some sort of alien infiltrator? Or even an emergent AI trying to communicate?

I say we keep him and see what he does next...

I am Brainiac1999, and yes, I learned to mature in my time out. I'm afraid that I'm being closed in for another time out though.. EDIT: by "CLOSED IN" I meant that a mod would ban me, not the downmod blabber I got enraged over before.

I think that when Larry posted that, the link went somewhere else. The spammer must have started a new topic, which got deleted and then when the other poster made their new topic the ID of the spam topic was used.

I know that when I clicked the link earlier it was a dead link and it looks like the not-actually-spam post was made after Larry's post reporting spam.
