I have a different issue. I beat the Crumbly Level, but now I can't get back to the Exit Level part. More precisely

You should be able to get back through Exit Level : 6 South 1 East, which is now clear and lets you into the main part of Exit Level. You can then walk to Once South and unlock the gate from the south.

To get there from the main hold area, go to the Decoy Level secret room, go down the stairs, then in the Exit Level, follow the wide passage south and west.

and the state of Exit Level room would be different. I guess I was too fixated on the idea of going though Hub Level.

Fantastic hold btw, architecture is really impressive. Rooms are both great fun to solve and you also marvel at the elegant layout.
