I know that necroing a thread is probably frowned upon, especially one of such, err...
caliber as this one, but I have to say I'm surprised at exactly how many of these feature requests have actually come perilously close to being included in DROD!

×As a number of people have noted before, it seems the Aumtlich is very nearly a Ray Gun! It's portable and doesn't kill things, but just look at that ray! it's even the same-ish colour as Beethro's ray in DRODIS! (see attached)

after TCB's release. And it's also interesting that the mirror does have a
Sokoban-like use if you don't stab it!
I'm impressed with how TCB incorporates these suggestions (and perhaps others) without deviating too significantly from the original DROD concept.
