Here’s a list of JtRH rooms where it’s possible to kill the 39th Slayer and still clear the room. You can actually kill the Slayer in almost every room he appears in.
Try to kill the 39th Slayer in as many of them as you can. If you wonder how I killed the Slayer in a certain room, just ask for a demo.

I don’t think my list is complete, so if you found another room where you can kill 39th Slayer, tell me, and I’ll update the list. :)


PS I’m not sure if anyone has posted this kind of list before…?

I'm kind of creeped out by how he manages to hold a sigh for 10 seconds after death.

It's been a while since Rheb's updated this. I'm sure if he went back over it, he'd be able to get a few more himself, but since I've been playing with a few of the more advanced techniques, I thought I'd see which extra rooms it'd apply to. So here's my additions and corrections to Rheb's list.

Some require the more well-known tricks, while others... well, if you've finished A Slayers Weakness, you'll have a good starting point in figuring out how to do the rest.

As Rheb indicated, the remaining rooms/situations may yet be doable using particular strategies - but I wasn't able to find a way for them in the past few hours I've spent compiling these extra rooms.

(Poor 39th Slayer... Imagine that you for your whole life have been the indestructible boss of a computer game, then suddenly people starts killing you almost everywhere you appear, even when you were supposed to be safe...)

I know I shouldn't revive old old threads, but I'm in Lvl6-1S2E trying to figure out how you slay the Slayer - but I can't do it!
I know there must be something to do with outmanoeuvring and getting him cornered, but I can't figure it out! :~(

Assuming you're playing JtRH, it would be very hard to kill the slayer in 1S2E, since he doesn't appear in that room. The only room he appears in on this level is 2S4E.

Soooo, I kinda read this thread again today, and saw that there were still two rooms on my list where the Slayer could not be killed. I was not satisfied with that and thus decided to have another round of sparring with the slayer in those two rooms (l3 4N3W and Lv 22 2N)

after only half an hour of semi-random movement, I actually did it.

Attached is a demo for the hardest of the two, lvl 22 2N. It basically involves tricking the slayer into rotating the wrong way, allowing you to be one step ahead of him. This same trick can also be applied in wider corridors.

Does anyone know of rooms the slayer appears in other than the rooms on this list? If not, we can basically conclude that 39th slayer can be killed in every single room he appears in.

(except for lv8 3S where you can't actually reach him after he appears)

(and lvl10 1S1E, where he just taunts you from an unreachable location)
