×oh god the mimics... (done)
Interesting idea, and much harder than it appeared. I enjoyed the interpretation and feel of "cramped" unique to this entry. It was simple, though, and mostly took trial and error to maneuver the mimics around properly. 7/10.
Coriolis (done)
Pretty fun, and interesting idea. It was a little repetitive, and some of the rooms were easier than others. The first chamber was the hardest for me. 7/10.
Small room (done)
I enjoyed playing this, but I'm certain I found an unintended solution. I never needed to leave the NW corner and I suspect this is the most common method others employed. This is one of a few "cramped" entries which seemed like a huge hodgepodge of pieces without a cohesive theme, which I didn't favor, and it didn't need to be this large to have the same effect. However, I spent a lot of time on it, so that means I had fun. 7/10.
Patience is a virtue (done)
At first I thought there was a script running and the trick was just to wait it out, but then I realized the screen was simply filled with spiders and it was impossible to progress until enough of the spiders were killed, then a second wave of roaches opened up some gaps. It was interestingly named and might have been more appropriate for a patience-themed contest, but I don't think the cramping added anything to the puzzle other than its length (same goes for the red door). 6/10.
Teamwork (done)
I enjoyed playing it! This room was good fun, tricky, and has taught me a thing or two. A nice balance of difficulty and a cohesive theme; one of the best for "fun" value. Maybe Dischorran did this one, or Penwielder...? 8/10.
Infested Swamp (yeah right)
I tried several tactics, but I currently have no idea how to progress much further than about halfway to the solution. On principle I would normally give this at least 9/10 since it's devilishly hard, has many separate elements, and forces me to learn new things. However, it felt less to me like this was in the spirit of the contest (huge room, so much open area), and it's also a mix of several different puzzle issues attacking you all at once which makes it less cohesive in feel. It's clear to me that this is the hardest of the lot. It is so difficult and not larrymurk straightforward that I have to assume mxvladi is the architect (I have no idea who did any of these entries), and I really have enjoyed puzzling over how the heck it's supposed to work. I look forward to more pain from it in the future. 8/10.
The Well-Used Level (still working)
I know what I need to do in general here, but lack the trick repository in my noggin to pull it off. This is a nice room, it meets the challenge, and it's quite tricky, but it seems as though it only requires the discovery of a single trick to beat the room. I do like tricky rooms, and will probably figure it out later. 8/10.
Cluttered confines (almost beaten)
This is another put-lots-of-different-stuff-together room, but the golem theme ties it together much better than others with the same tack. It's challenging enough to be fun but not painful, and takes patience and thought. It looks like a great deal of work went into this room, particularly the amount of sizing the chambers appropriately. I finally figured out the last trick and I love it (I haven't finished it yet though, because that last trick is quite tough). Very, very sneaky. 9/10, but after discovering the endgame to this one if I could revote on it I'd give it a 10.
Tight Quarters (still working)
I like this one a lot. I look forward to beating it when I have a little time. I worry there may be unintended solutions, but it's still very hard and it will take more time to decipher. 9/10.
Snake Spiral (almost beaten)
I'm at the endgame to this one now, and the last bit is very tough. Great take on the challenge, and very tough, but learnable with patience. 8/10, but if I could revote I'd give it at least a 9.
I Wish... (done)
This was a fun little room of just the right difficulty for a relaxing puzzle. It was the perfect size for what it needed to be, and offered several different paths and trick options. I used a couple of different tricks to get through it, and I'm not certain if I met the intended solution or not, but it was fun and challenging. I would assume the architect is Tahnan for use of the subjunctive mood in the title, but Chaco (or less likely, larrymurk) for the approach. Despite the simplicity and old-school feel, this is one of the best ones for me. 9/10.
Cornered (done)
This was a typical efficiency room with some new features, and it was interesting, but most of the work was just figuring out what the room needed me to do. I think the scripting element was an ugly kludge. I'm pretty sure I found at least one unintended solution here too (I think you can kill the goblin after he steps on the panel and still escape, and so not need the second horn, but not 100% certain it can be pulled off without time to test more). 6/10.
Stepping Stones (still working)
Neat! Still working on it, but I've come pretty close. A little painful, but I suspect Dischorran as this falls neatly into the "here's what you have to do, now do it" theme category. 9/10.
Doors, Doors, Spam, and Doors (done)
This cute little door maze with multiple paths caused me to restart a few times. Ultimately it wasn't very difficult; it just required hitting things in the correct order so as not to box Beethro in. It could have been made more compact for the same effect, as well, in keeping with contest theme. A good effort nonetheless. 5/10.
Stepping Stones With Friends (yeah right)
I don't know who you are, but I hate you. How can the clone version be HARDER than the mimic version?! Die in a river. 10/10, on principle.
I haven't finished all of them as of the vote time, so I noted my progress in the hidden comments. Many of these were very impressive and I regret having been unable to contribute, but we have more than enough entries to play already.
