where.
the ones you fight with lotsa queens you got to do with a single clear shot. its kinda pure this way. saving each phase makes you confused about the strategy you took

If you're talking about try:2S and 2S1E, then it's mostly so that you get a checkpoint near the end, so that if you make a silly mistake at the end (like letting a roach get behind you when you're facing the wrong way) you don't have to redo the whole room.

Also, I will add that if you kill the adder in try:3S1W, then exit to the right, then you can't go to the left since the adder is dead and you can't remove the small gel blobs. If you removed the black door by the left exit, and put a monster behind a black door, that would fix that problem.

I am still solving kol (fifth level).

No frickin way.

Another War hold out of absolutely nowhere.

Khaim, it's like you are some mythical being. I swear.

Also, complaining about lack of checkpoints in a War hold is possibly--I am pretty sure you have to be a seal nuzzling a kitten that is riding atop a puppy to be any more adorable than that.

I would think that it's the architects with bad practices that need belittling, rather than the people trying to peer-pressure them into doing the right thing, but I guess the forum is too dead for quality so CARRY ON CAPTAIN CONDESCENSION

also from what little time I've spent looking at war holds I guess it would be a bit like spraying air freshener on a landfill

Well, now...the war series may not be to my particular taste, but some people seem to enjoy them.

As for complaining about Banjooie being condescending...see previous reference re: seal, kitten, puppy.

That said, I always prefer to err on the side of more checkpoints.

Josh

there are no bad practices associated with war holds, they are inherently works of art that must be kept wholly intact

edit: scrolling up, they are actual intentional works of art by a small child

my faith in this series was not misplaced
