Beethro finds himself caught in an infinite loop of identical rooms.

This hold is based on an original idea by Ravon, as can be seen in this thread here.

For more information on how this hold works, see this thread here

Thanks to Ravon, CuriousShyRabbit and Dischorran.

A new, fairly short Jacob hold. To describe it in too much depth would detract, I think, from the experience.

But, overall, it is fun, not too difficult, and very well-constructed.

I give this hold an 8 for fun and 4 brains of difficulty.

Josh

Do you mean 'Is there a nasty trick that makes you go back and replay the entire hold after giving up in frustration?'

No. There's a trick, but the actual trick is almost immediately obvious.

(Although I liked The Fool's Errand as well...)

Is the secret room really accessible?
After conquering 1E the only way out are the stairs, thus exiting the hold. I saw no secret wall, tried all exits in entrance.
I saw where it is, but I can't imagine how to get there. Any hint?
Thanks

There are two staircases in the room. The northwest staircase ends the hold. The other one goes to the secret room.

Mastered. Neat concept, although I didn't really like goblin part(more trial-and-error than puzzly). Other parts were great, and I liked overall puzzle of getting to top.

oh, and 2E,3E,4E,5E,6E,7E,8E,9E,10E should be marked unscorable EDIT: Thanks

Must admit I agree about the goblin line... That took me longer (also trial and error) than the rest of the hold...

Ohhh, so that's what happened to this project. I didn't get to see the "real" secret room before my hiatus - a very nice variation, in the "trademake Jacob" style. The Rabbit likes it.

Of the regular rooms, my personal favorite is still the aumtlich line.

This is an interesting little hold. This reminded me of level 13 from Deep Hold although having followed the link in the first post I can see it actually originated from somewhere else.

Jacob has already proven himself adept at the room within a room concept and that's what we have here. Each of the sections is fairly straightforward, and for those who are really stuck a hint is provided to help you out.

I assume the below is part of the general hold theme? I'm giving it a +1 anyway it bought a smile to my face.

I spent way too much time on this hold for it really only being two rooms, but excellent job :)

I am impressed that you were able to make it so that everything could be solved from the final row and yet with a few minor changes, everything worked for the secret room's bottom-up approach too. The consistency across rooms was nice. For example: I wondered what switch opened the yellow door at the top right and couldn't figure it out until I got to the secret room (cool method of getting there, by the way). I finally realized what it was for when I got to the secret room but the way it was there in the "regular" rooms as well was a nice touch.

The goblin part seemed a little trial and error at first, as did the wraithwings and I didn't think it nice that I had to do everything perfect (no left-over moves) with the guards at the top to get the the clone potion. That was the hardest bit to figure out.

Overall though, I really enjoyed myself. My wife came in at one point and said "You're still playing this room?" :lol
