71% on February 19th, 73% on February 20th, 75% on February 21st... At that rate, they'll finish around March 6th. I wouldn't count on that at all, since the bar doesn't move at a consistent rate and especially since they really should take some time for testing, but it is exciting.

It's good to see people are excited about the upcoming game. I'm very excited myself! I just had a weekend where I could pour an uncommonly large number of hours into development work. I highly doubt we will be done by April 1st with this project, but it's possible another project is completed by that time. Yes, there are actually two progressing in tandem!

I plan to release more info in the March Illumination.

Yeah, so I looked at this today. It's pretty easy as DROD rooms go - the hard part was the spading, which is already done. All that's really left is the tedium of translating the solution into ASCII characters. I wonder if there's a utility that will do that for DROD demos.

I think you should give it about 24 hours, just to let some stragglers who hadn't heard of this Bar puzzle yet see the room and have an opportunity to solve the room with a complete view of the room. We were at a status where most of the room features were already set for several days anyhow, so it's not too much of an advantage.

After that time, then yeah, go for it. That will revalue Really Big Bar Swords and give the community a new shot at trying to uncover room features wisely. (And give another fortunate forumer the ability to join TFMurphy as a "first solver of the bar riddle".)

Also, starting a second Bar Statistics graph for the second bar riddle would be a good idea, in my opinion.

Yes - one sword to unlock room view, one sword to reveal a tile, and one sword to make a guess at the solution.

Same. My guess is that because I found three swords today, I probably won't find anymore today.

Guess one was just fail on my part. Guess two I made the mistake of not seeing that one of the bottom roaches was arrowed, and guess three just had me confused and infuriated since it *should* have been right, but stopped before said arrow.

So now, I redid it, I'm about 98% sure I have the right answer, but my money's that the bar is cruel and doesn't drop me a sword.
