Question.
Am I allowed to use a modified version of KDD, levels 1 & 2 for my hold? I'm pretty sure that KDD is a You & Conquerers hold when it comes to editing(I'm only on level 9), so it should be allowed.
Right?

There have been two remakes of KDD, as well as a few Architecture projects here and there, so I'd say as long as you've conquered KDD it's alright to do with it what you will.

Note that it's definitely not alright to do the same for JtRH or TCB unless you have special permission or something.

All of AE is public domain. However, "You & Masters" or better editing status does not give you rights to use others' work.

It's public domain yes, but if you're allowed to use it, it would be good manners to make it quite clear that you're basing your levels off it.
