Ever since I read this article, on the old DROD.net website, one thing has constantly lingered, and that is this.

earning him a place in history as DROD's No. 1 Fan

I have often wondered how Mattcrampy awarded this to ClaytonW without letting anyone else contest that claim. So, without any further rambling on, lets see who the REAL number one DROD fan is!

Rules
Submit a series of pictures proving yourself to be the biggest DROD fan. Note that your pictures must be under 4 megabytes, in order to allow people without your superl337 broadband connection to be able to download them with relative ease.
Not more than 5 photographs for each entry can be submitted, otherwise it will take too long to judge the entries. Make sure that these photos are in either .jpg .png .jpeg or .gif If you want to put them in an archive, please use a .zip file.
No turned on computer screens. It just saves a lot of complications.

Voting
It’s the content that counts
I know that this is becoming a sort of reoccurring theme with my contests, but I want to keep the playing field even. Expensive projects, the application of highly specialised skills or even the use of expert photography are not really in keeping with the spirit of this contest. This contest is about dedication and innovation.

Submission procedure
Once you have taken your photographs, put them in a .zip file, and attach them to your post in the submission topic. The submission topic is a special place where only you and me can see your post, so you don’t have to worry about anyone stealing your ideas, or even know that you’re in the contest. If you want, you can write up a description of your photos, but that is purely optional.

Timing
You have until the Local Time:03-28-2007 at 05:00 AM. Yes, that is negative 890 weeks, 2 days until this contest closes!

Prizes
First place shall receive 100 rank points, and 1 item from the prize pile, not to mention the prestigious title of ‘No.1 DROD fan’.
Second place shall receive 50 rank points, and the knowledge that they almost became the biggest DROD fan.
Third place shall receive 25 rank points, and the satisfaction of becoming the 3rd biggest DROD fan.
Anyone who has not tried a contest before gets 10 rank points, no questions asked.
All contestants will be considered as one of the DROD fanatics.

IIRC, there are no highscoreable rooms in it, thus you progress won't be reported.

I think the scroll bars definitively show which level I'm on.

Heh, yeah, you've got a great idea there. Heck, you even got Clayton to participate, so you know it's good.

I'll see if I can whip something together for this one. Obviously, in order to win, you'll have to beat Clayton's famous Beethro costume which gives him the current #1 DROD Fan title.

This contest has me stumped. Sure, I'm a big fan of DROD, but numero uno? No freaking way! There are people out there so much more dedicated it's not even funny. Besides, this is terribly narcissistic, and while I am all for being praised, it only feels right when other people do it. So I'll pass on this one, but good luck to all the brave people who step in!

I'm guessing it's the "fan" bit that doesn't translate well.

You have to take a picture of yourself doing something, and prove to everyone that you are the best supporter of DROD there ever was.

Then everyone will vote on who they thought was the most creative way to support DROD, and the one with the most votes wins!

You have to come up with an image or a photo (taken with a camera), then attach it to a post you make in the submission topic.

I'm not sure very much of the syntax used in this contest translates well to Italian.

Rabscuttle's image is not allowed in this contest. You cannot use a turned on computer screen in your pictures, so you are not allowed to use your high scores or pictures of you playing DROD. You need to think of something else.

Neather2, if you haven't, look at the pictures from the time ClaytonW dressed as Beethro for Halloween. They indirectly inspired this contest. You don't necessarily have to dress up, or reenact DROD scenes, but the point is to prove how much you love DROD.
