I told you it was tricky.

×Here's the "story" of the room.
Player begins the room.
- The gel mother is currently unkillable.
- The gel babies will go right to us, so let's kill them. There's some free gel in the room in the SE if we need more.
- The orb by the bombs seems to make progress if it is triggered.
- To trigger the orb, the mimic needs to light the fuse and the player needs to be able to wait a long time.
- This will happen if the player goes and kills the brain and hits the orb behind it, but the Slayer will pursue us into the force arrow trap and kill us, and the bombs keep us from turning our sword around to block.
- So, Slayer #1 needs to die before we can kill the brain.
So, how do we do that?
- The pressure plate releases the Stalwart.
- If the Stalwart leaves the eastern cell, it tends to die rapidly without your help. Besides, those pressure plates and doors by the arrow look suspicious.
- Get the Slayer near the arrow but very close to you, so that when you hit the pressure plate the Stalwart can go right up to the Slayer and kill it, remaining on the arrow.
- The Stalwart does not pursue gel babies in the western section because we've wisely shut the door by the gel mother.
- Now you can go kill the brain and open the doors. The mimic will die on the hot tile; this is because we don't need it anymore.
Now comes the tricky part!
- In order to kill the gel mother, the door near the top of the gel mass needs to be opened.
- Getting to the orb requires that the four pressure plates by the Stalwart be depressed. You guessed it; we'll need gel babies for that. But how to get them to stay put?
- Using the control panel in the upper left, get the Stalwart to turn around and face southeast.
- Go cut the gel blob in the lower right, releasing five gel babies (one more than you need) and the Slayer.
- Use that tunnel I've given you! The gel babies will go after the Stalwart, lining up perfectly and depressing all the pressure plates, but without killing the Stalwart because his sword is facing the right direction. And the whole room falls apart.
- Well, not quite. That fourth gel baby will follow you, so you need to get out of there without killing it and run away, then the baby will run back to the stalwart.
- It's nice to get rid of the other Slayer at this point with a bomb, but it's not necessary. What is necessary is disposing of the "control panel" gel babies.
- Now you can go hit the orb. Make sure you block the gel mother's spawn with a gel baby or the gel will block you out.
- Finally, you can just GO KILL EVERYTHING.
- Leave the room.
Believe me, the room is a lot simpler than the long description seems to say.
