I don't know how to call it, but, I'm talking about a mimic that instead of copying your moves, do the opposite as you do, understand?
What do you think?

You will see these "opposite mimics" in action if you play Rabscuttle's hold, The Wrong Way.

Yes, but how about mimics that do the opposite of what you do?

The, uh, funny part is that Google Chrome is telling me that before, uh, we sucked up all his bandwidth downloading it, it was a 2000x1600 .gif, roughly. That had been resized, by the forum, to 60x60, without actually losing any size.

Whooops.

Ah, looks like it's been fixed anyway.

And adblock or no, you still have to load it that first time, and I still get to laugh really really hard.

Hell, I don't care. My internet tubes are made of steel.

You know, given how hard it can be to search for things in the forum, I'd agree that the sarcasm isn't really necessary or appropriate. A better way to express what Tim meant would be:

While this may not be a bad idea, it is one that's come up a number of times before.

Plus, perhaps, advice on how to search for previously posted ideas.

Tahnan, Tim, one of these days we're going to have to have a meeting and decide who's going to be a complete jackass to the newbies and who isn't because I'm getting really confused.

It's better that way. It makes it easier to do the whole "good cop, bad cop, confused cop" routine.

The reverse mimics in WW were done with the 2.0 scripting engine. I haven't played around much with either the 3.0 or DROD:RPG scripting, but I imagine they can be done in a much cleaner way now.

Although there's still the problem of characters moving after all the monsters which can make things slightly unintuitive, so built-in reverse mimics (or the ability to preset character movement order) would still be useful.
