Many comics of the early 90s, when America On-Line, or AOL, was at the peak of its popularity, joked that AOL's marketing department would be first against the wall when the revolution came, riding on the coat-tails of funnier people*. Interestingly, scientists from the future have managed to use quantum technology to send back pages from a descendant of Wikipedia from the 22nd century - under the 'AOL Viacom Time Warner' page, it mentions that the company's marketing department, of which AOL was a small but influential part, was indeed first against the wall when the revolution came.
