Not sure how helpful this is, but an aumtlich room in EP was crashing every time I left it, until I decided to wait for the aumtlich beam graphics to fade into their transparent state, during which the crash didn't happen, so that could be some sort of indicator.

EDIT: The crash happened even when the beam was faded, so that doesn't seem to make a difference on its own.

Yeah, made it to the aumtlich level in EP and it's not good. Half the rooms in AC are crashing just trying to move around the level.

Made a little test hold and it's crashing relatively consistently, too. Just go north, wait 1, go south, wait 1, repeat.

I recorded how many screen transitions it took me per crash and got the following numbers: 4 2 4 5 2 2 - 3 - 5 2 2 4. The dashes hadn't crashed by 30 transitions (the game was closed and reopened afterwards for the next attempt). Crash log is still identical with the fuse case.

The initial bug report (subtitle) says the bug occurs in Steam 5.1.1.539, but I can also confirm this occurred for me in non-Steam, Windows, 5.1.1.561

Following Doom's format, it was:

- 2

(i.e. did not happen after 30 transitions in the first session, I closed DROD, re-opened it, started a new game for that hold, did 2 transitions and it crashed)

Thanks to Schik, the cause has hopefully been discovered. Attached is a new build containing a fix. Please try it if possible, and report if any troubles occur.

Haven't had a single crash on the new build (624).

Tried all the rooms that were crashing frequently before. The above test hold and the EC, AC rooms in EP.
