All right, here they are: the first two levels of I, Slayer.

I am attempting to improve my architecture by learning to create some more difficult lynchpin puzzles. Here is the result of my tinkerings.

Feedback about any of the puzzles is, of course, most welcome. It would be great if you could compare this, in difficulty and fun, to School of the Slayerly.

Thanks!

Also: don't be confused by the credit given to Calamarian for the 28th Slayer avatar - I've made the character, but simply haven't used it yet :P

The rooms so far are very good lynchpin rooms that I like a lot.

They're awesome! :)

However, I'm not sure about Quince Underground: Twice East.

What was the intended solution?

Agreed, these rooms are very enjoyable, and definitely a step up in difficulty from the first hold. The only things I noticed were:

Bomber - presumably you haven't found a level I haven't seen and mean Quince Aboveground:

Oh - and one more thing. Rooftop 1S1E is rather trivial and doesn't seem to match up with all of the other rooms, which all contain very good puzzles. I especially enjoyed the two northern rooftop rooms.

You can escape by using the upper-left corner of the Entrance.

Perhaps clever, but it creates a lovely backtracking problem. If you place the clone on the border and exit the room before completing all four rooms, you sort of have a problem.

The blue door in Quarce Aboveground won't open.

Taking a look in the editor, I see that Twice South is required, which is after the blue door.

2S1E - The only way to get here is by the clone and that creates backtracking issues.

Why do you say that? You can walk diagonally in the corner to get to the outside perimeter. (Or back to the main land area.)

1S - You don't need the power token

Fixed for the next release.

2S - Who said they're hard to make?

I did, so there :P

I noticed it the first time I was playing through, but I agree that you should probably make it a bit more obvious that you can get to the outside in this manner.

Hmmm. I've been struggling a bit to come up with some Citizen puzzles, and this is one I've come up with. I'm sure I conquered the room a while back, but can't remember how I did it, and I'm useless at solving puzzles. So - is this room possible? I would really appreciate some help here...

Yes it is possible. Just kill the adder completely, bit by bit while staying on the force arrow, then touch the pressure plate and let the citizen go. While this may not be the intended solution, it is a solution.

All right, very clever :P

I mean, is it possible the intended way - stepping on the pressure plate first?

It isn't? Golly. This is an embarrassingly obvious display of my incompetence at playing rooms... I tried everything! Could you explain how it's done (I can't believe I need H&S for my own Hold...)

EDIT: I see the light! :selftwak

Hmm... updated that last level after a little thought. Now (hopefully) 1N and 1E are vastly more challenging :)

In which case, could you put some more checkpoints in both of those rooms?

I haven't played the previous, apparently easy version of 1S, but the current version is quite frustrating to restart repeatedly just because you got two citizens stuck on each other.
