×First off, the roach moves before the constructs. That means it always has to be blocked before you start moving.

I've looked at trying to make a diagonal with Construct (#2) at the top and Construct (#4) at the bottom. But it doesn't look like this would actually get the roach any further than a column of three would and I haven't been able to work out how to make the diagonal anyways.

If I get my sword southwest of a Construct and I'm southwest of the sword, the Construct will move south; however, by the time I can do this, the roach has moved diagonally.

I'm thinking of trying to get a construct to hit the switch; I believe this would require killing two Constructs directly beside the switch, with the faster one on the bottom. That strikes me as difficult to do and I have no idea what I'd even do with the roach afterwards.

The one other idea I have is somehow trapping the roach with dead constructs and manipulating from there, but I can't see a way to do that without trapping myself as well.

×My solution was completely different from that. I had one construct corpse on the southernmost of the five spaces, the other two vertically arranged a few spaces west of there, and the roach already released and trapped west of the two constructs. Surprisingly easy from there.

Place three constructs in a horizontal line, ordered
#2-3-4, just below the wall of length three.

When these three revive, they will move south if you are
on the pressure plate. Time this revival to block the roach and keep it headed south.

Arrange it so that the roach is completely blocked in by dead constructs. Open the pressure plate and run back -- by mostly killing the constructs from underneath, you can inch the roach down square by square.

I think I got a bit lucky at the last segment, where a live construct just happened to block the roach's diagonal movement, as in the intended solution.

I also played with getting the constructs to trigger the switch, but then I realized it wouldn't be a solution in any case! Curious if it's possible to get them in that configuration, though.
