It wasn't that hard, in the end. Last time I played DROD (which was before my holiday in April) I'd left off feeling completely stuck by the last room on L18, but when I came back, I got that room pretty quickly, and then reached the end of the hold in a couple of days. (I kept putting it away feeling "I've done enough for today", and then coming back feeling "Actually, I'm pretty sure I could do that room", and usually I could.) The biggest annoyance on the last few levels was a few rooms tht could have used a checkpoint... oh, and that one room on L22 where it seemed to be random whether the Slayer killed Halph or not. I admit I used a demo for that one, though I didn't feel very guilty as I had already

There's no predetermined number, because some percentage points are earmarked for tasks that are not requisite to begin beta testing. If those tasks get done before other essential items, progress will be higher when we actually start beta testing. But, I'm going to throw out an approximate figure that beta testing will start somewhere around 90%, but possibly as high as 95%.

Here's what I see as next on the critical path: we have story generally completed for about two-thirds of the game, and we need to hammer out the details and writing for the final third. Then as the script for parts is finalized we will start voice recording.

Speaking of which, it's about time to post a notice for that so that we can have people on deck for the roles that aren't yet spoken for.
