If you're full on swords, it really does leave the sword for the next clicker. So if you get a sword when you're full on swords, stop clicking until someone else takes the sword.

Or just make a random guess (like 'a') and then take the sword. And help everybody to come after you... at least for a few minutes.

I would greatly appreciate it if the "You have too many swords" message is instead just skipped for people with too many swords. The DBOD would probably appreciate it too.

That would be good, but personally I think it would be a bit boring and it wouldn't solve the problem of several people having three Really Big Swords and having no way to use them.

One idea for a non-riddle sink I just had would be a collection bin for all these swords lying around, like some sort of communal armory. Then the total number of swords donated could be another number to track in this thread, just like the number of clicks.

I have used qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq swords, just so I (and others) can continue clicking the bar. Would it be possible to make it so people who have 3 swords don't get the "leave it for others" message?

In a way. The Bar rains a fixed amount of swords on us each day, I believe... whether people pick them up in time, or what they do with them after is up to them. Revealing the squares is a popular option, in any case.

It seemed to me (previously) that every hour I got a sword. I could click as many times as I wanted in that interval but never got anything. But after an hour, just a few clicks and I'd get one. I don't know if that's one sword for the forum per hour or if it's one sword per person per hour. That was my observation at least.

So, I just checked - there is no way to move north before the largest revealed area. However, you can move north before the one gap revealed in the row 2 north of Beethro. In addition, there are evil eyes (at least one) in the room. I didn't see it, but for some reason there was a tooltip above a blank floor space.

I can confirm that moving via a simple DDRUURDDRUUR... pattern through the middle area is enough to drop the red doors.

So.. the current idea of the room is:
- find a way to zig-zag to the right side without waking any eyes (all eyes facing diagonally to be avoidable)
- kill all eyes
- drop all remaining trapdoors by making a trip to the start position and back (enforcing only E, NE and SE moves at the very beginning)

Hmm, I have a question that I'd rather not use up swords to test. If you attempt to solve, can you then use up extra swords to reveal squares while keeping the final state of that attempt, or does it revert back to the initial position?

Confirmed that the eyes aren't placed symmetrically.

Pretty sure the first move should be 2, otherwise that trapdoor becomes unaccessable.

The priority is to reveal all the evil eyes in the top 3 and bottom 3 rows.
