The mysticality classes are the easiest to defeat the Sorceress with, I think, and Seal Clubber is the most difficult since their skills depend on what weapon they are wielding.

well, actually, the seal clubber does a fairly hefty amount of damage with his skills even with the weapon required, and well, with the /new/ skill they're gonna be getting...yeah, it'll be a lot easier for 'em.

I'm not exactly sure about what new skill Seal Clubbers will get. I've heard some people say that they will be able to dual-wield 1-handed weapons, and I've heard that they will be able to create consumables. Maybe they will get two skills?

Maybe. Jick's been going on about both, but he's promised off-hand weapons are really soon.

That's soon in Jicktime, though.

I'd gladly let you join our smitemaster clan thing, but it seems that you have not applied. Perhaps you should do that first.

this confuses and angers me

I used to play KOL for a little while before, and then stopped. Unfortunately, my account got cut by the 60-day limit. Anyways, I've decided to start up again and check out the new features. Could I re-join this clan?

Yeah, right... -_- *mods down heavily*

People like this guy are so sad. Our clan stash is now this: Empty.

Not that I ever used it (pure hardcore so far), but it still had a lot of stuff.

People like Nagaiku spoil the game for everyone :no :angry

However this seems like a perfect opportunity to experiment to see if rank points can go negative ;)

On an unrelated note does hardcore mean that if you die you die permenantly?

If someone is at 1 and gets modded down, their rank points will stay at zero. If they get modded up after that, the rank points will increase to 1. So additional negative mods after getting to 1 rank points, have no effect at all. At least that's how it was last time when I saw someone that low.

No, this isn't Diablo. ;)
There are better rewards for completing HC ascensions. Quoting the differences to a regular playthrough from the Ascension FAQ:
from KoL site:
A 'hardcore' ascension means you will have no access to any items or meat that don't drop while you're fighting monsters and having adventures. No clan stash, no mall, no flea market, no items sent in messages from other players, no buffs from other players.

:-O How could Diablo mislead me like that

I'm annoyed at myself now as thats the only reason that I didn't go hardcore when I ascended :frusty

Did you write a column for www.diabloii.net? As I think that was how I found my way to DROD.

I'd guess you're talking about DiMono (aka Chris Marks) now. He's made at least a few articles for that site.

There is a website dedicated to reporting Clan Looters that I should have checked to make sure that dip***t Nagaiku wasn't a clan looter (though his name didn't show up when I queried it). It's at http://www.lootersofloathing.com/. I have just submitted a form reporting him as a looter, and I have validated it.

From the looks of it, no. I guess the stash didn't have any hell ramens or chow meins. It did lose dry noodles and hellion cubes, which are needed to make hell ramens and chow meins.

EDIT: Hellion cubes are NOT needed to make chow meins, just hell ramens. Just so you know.

I went from over 150,000 to over 1,000,000 and down to zero in a day. Now I'm just desperately trying to even the score.

I found out about KOL from this thread, so I made a character a few days ago and tried it out. Not a bad way to kill a few minutes a day... Can I get an invite into the Smitemaster's clan? I requested to join on the KOL site a couple of days ago, but I never heard anything back... And I promise I won't clean out the clan stash... My character's name is my last name, just like my handle on the DROD forum. I hate picking nicknames... I spent so long choosing a name for my WoW character that I got timed out and had to start over building my character from scratch...
