My idea is to create a door that only opens when all the Tar on that level is killed

There is a problem... Tar never "leaves" a room. It always comes back after you leave a room.

The idea isn't bad at all! What about doors that open after a certain monster type isn't in a room any more? Roachgate, Queengate, Snakegate --> all in one? The door is white and the monster it's dedicated to is displayed on it.

This could be done with scripting. Have an explanation text appear somewhere so you're not playing blind, and have an orb be triggered to open a door when the last of a certain type of monster is killed. This would work well with snakes - e.g. have 1 be added to a counter for every snake killed, and only when the counter reaches X (and there's X snakes in the room), have an NPC trigger the door.

Problem - you can only Wait for Event Monster Stabbed, not Wait for Event Roach Stabbed or Wait for Event Goblin Stabbed or anything like that.

If you're referring to your post being randomly modded, then I believe the answer to your question can be found in some of the recent drama around here.

But for a summary, there are a number of people (with many mod points or not) that are attempting to make the mod system meaningless by giving people random negative mods or otherwise using negatives to nullify positives without any obvious good reason for doing so (this may also be the case with random positive modding as well). Why this is is unclear, but it is likely that the reason why it's noticeable is because of the low activity around here, making for a lower signal:noise ratio.

In this case, the consensus was that if you do notice that a post is targetted randomly (e.g. the thread has been dormant for months and there's no apparent reason for the mod), then it is probably best simply to ignore it.

I would advise anyone else without anything further to add not to post anything; let's not have any more arguments right now if we can avoid it.

Actually, it's the opposite. Before you can solve any problem, you must ask the right question. We have to accept that the forum's activity is low; thus the question is "what can we do to reverse this?".

Many of us have good ideas, it's a case of implementing them if you can. In some ways, the recent drama actually highlights the point; if you can't reduce the noise floor, then lead by example and generate some signal instead. If we're all busy building stuff, talking about the weather (or tomatoes) or attempting to survive in diverse forum games, perhaps we won't notice so much when people complain about mods.
