Hey, Neather2?

The room that you posted is unsolvable. Yes, you can destroy the tar with help from one mimic, but even if you place the other mimic in the remaining inaccessible mud cell, you can't cut the mud because there aren't any corners exposed.

Since there's no way to bypass the black door, the room is then impossible.

Judging time!

I, sadly, couldn't find the strategy behind each room, so I have to lower the number of points on difficulty for both Ezlo and neather2. As of Timo, he didn't submit a room, so he's out.

Neather2:
Correctness: 8/10 Roach queens don't spawn 12 roaches per turn.
Difficulty: 4/10 It's impossible.
Look: 7/10 It's not bad.

Ezlo:
Correctness: 10/10 Has all what's asked
Difficulty: 4/10 There's no way to light the fuses so...
Look: 8/10 I like the use of symmetry here!

So, Ezlo wins! Good job! If you want a prize, post here.

In the original version, there's a secret wall that goes to one of the mud chambers. Not sure if that's still here in the new version, but.

I'll play through the entries, then ready up the new compilation. Should I put it in the same Jeff Ray Says thing I had going for the first official one, and put this as Contest 2, or just make a new hold? Keep in mind, the way it's going you have to beat Contest 1 before doing any of the other ones (in any order).

EDIT:

Neather2's latest file attachment is the same hold as he attached the last time, and thus is still impossible.

That leaves, gosh, one playable entry for the compilation. How dull.

Nah, I don't fix other people's work, since I want those people to fix it in exactly the manner they want it to. I don't think Neather2 would appreciate it if I fixed the room in a manner he didn't want, just like I didn't appreciate it when he "fixed" my rooms in my level for the 25 Levels Hold.

Shall do. I've already got the February 27th, 2007 hub level mostly worked out, as well as the "return to main menu after conquering the round 1 entries" room.

Neather2, here's a demo of me playing your hold. Do you know how to import demos?

Your hold is impossible - there is no way for me to cut the mud in the southeast corner there, even if I use the mimic and put it in the small gap. The corner of the mud is not cuttable, since it isn't able to be reached by the mimic's sword.

Since you have to drop the black door, you can't solve this hold.

Now, would you like me to fix your hold so it's solvable, or would you like to fix it yourself? All it would take would be to move the empty square to the east one tile so the mimic can cut the corner and then get rid of the rest of the mud.

Yes, I agree with Neather - it is possible.

Edit: Chaco, in the most recent demo you posted, you have dropped the black door when you start swinging your sword. Perhaps the version of the hold you are playing is the wrong one...?
