Here's an arena I just made. I've no idea how it would actually play, or whether anyone can force a quick kill. I just made it:

The positions should be determined randomly, for fairness. It is 34*34 and for 10 snakes.

Just to warn you guys--the rules of gameplay need to mostly stay the same for now. No time to update the code. Things that can change are limited to:
* the arena size and contents
* the number of snakes involved
* the interval between turns which can be any amount of whole minutes greater than zero

This is the actual format that the code reads and uses. Coppro's arena, for example, is ready to use in its current form.

No, the text arena is the true arena. It's just that instead of each letter the Snakes engine draws a tile.

Heyyyyyyy... is it possible to make an non-square arena? Could you make a triangular arena by putting the carriage return one space earlier each time?

With the existing code, no. But you could just fill the rest of the rectangle with walls, which would be functionally identical.
