Before we go a lot further, I think we need to figure out how to keep this as the same hold. Currently, this is just a bunch of author's copies of the original hold, meaning that your saved games aren't saved...

meaning that you have to play the whole hold again when somebody adds another room. That was fine when it was four rooms. But we need to solve it before this gets really big and annoying to play through several, several times.
I'd recommend someone making a new player profile and exporting it. Post the .player file here. Everyone who wants to make a room imports it and uses it to edit and export the hold directly without making a copy.

And I think it would be preferrable if that player had access to all of the rooms, so I am working on that (unless someone beats me to it). However, I need some advice on 1E. I can step on the fuse on turn 20 of the spawn cycle (just preventing the first baby from spawning), but then I have NO CHANCE of killing the mother in the 8 moves I am allowed.

However, I have created the player file which has "created" the hold in the next post.

If only you had something in the room to fill the holes... :)

EDIT:

I'll go next, so I can do that.

PASS!
One more room by me.
Added scrolls in rooms that say who the room was made by!
Yes I used the PassingOfTheHold player file too.

Do you realize that your new room is not possible? It may be possible to kill the roach, but in order to kill the roach all the trapdoors must be dropped, and then you are trapped and cannot exit the room.

I just realized that may not be such a good idea, because that would require each time someone posts a room to also post a new version of the player with their room complete, which would just be annoying.

Once he does that, the next three that have signed up (unless I'm confused) are

Jeff_Ray...
Canadian_Army
Jason

(It's probably a good idea to keep a list - preferrably in the first post, but that'd have to be Canadian_Army's job then to add to it when someone signs up, and remove from it when a room is complete.)

You didn't need to completely change it...? Anyways... It's still not possible to exit after completing the room - the arrows prevent that. A green door on (36, 16), for example, would fix that.

Yes, we need a list. If you like, post that version of the hold and I'll copy that room into the version with tokyokid's room. Or you can do that if you like.

Sorry. I was making it too quick to notice. Who's ever next could you please fix that. Yes, Canadian Army, could you put a list of who's next in the first post or something?

No, it's 1N1W. And it wouldn't be too hard to fix even if they were in the same spot. It'd just take a little re-arranging.

Here's the one with my 3E in it.

I don't think it's as hard a puzzle as my previous two rooms; a nice room which allows access to more rooms.

So, we're officially going with your Passing of the Hold player? I could upload Many Architects if not, but it looks like that's going to be the case here.

Okay, here's the new one with PassingOfTheHold with Chaco's room and my room fixed.
I say we use the Passing of the Hold player becuase he is up-to-date on the rooms.

I think we should wait for Canadian Army to get back online before we go rushing fifteen more rooms into this hold while we're online. Seriously, we're rushing alright. Five rooms in a couple of hours.

EDIT:

But yeah, I agree Tokyokid - it would be useless and create more work if we swapped to Many Architects at this point.

I dunno. Deep Hold has 25 levels, but most of them are bigger than the average level in King Dugan's Dungeon.

Except levels 13 and 18 are basically space-filler.

Deep Hold has 338
And my hold roaches revenge has 299. Wow I didn't know it had that many :w00t

hm, really? Let me see how many Deep Hold has.

I don't think it would be very hard for us to make that many rooms. But, as raised in Deep Hold's Architecture thread - sure, we can make a bigger hold, but how about making a better hold?

If we actually have 520 good puzzles that are interesting, not too difficult, and make a nice collaborative hold, then it's worth doing.

EDIT:

And yeah, King Dugan's Dungeon only has 350 rooms.

Journey to Rooted Hold probably has more, seeing as it's inflated by the Dreamplane.

Yeah I agree, Deep Hold just had rooms that were mostly just thrown together. Though some rooms had some decent puzzels. With a lot of people we could beat the record!

Ahem. I'm just going to download Kevin's ThePassingOfTheHold player and play through the hold. I'm not making another room though, I think my three is fine when many of us have contributed fewer.
