I don't think that would be the same as in DROD - I'd reckon more of a second or two per move.

I think It would be a little more than that, perhaps a minute or two. Remember that this is only a representation of what happends.

Isn't the canon measurement of a tile-length 5 feet, though? I can't imagine that moving 5 feet would take a minute...

But, canonically, roaches don't wait around, play cards, throw darts, etc. while waiting for Beethro to move. They move smoothly. It's more of a five-seconds per move, and Beethro is just a lot faster at solving these sorts of puzzles than you are.
