It's gonna take me a few days to get started on this; my laptop's in Texas being repaired after suffering some damage to the power distribution corner of the main logic board, so I won't be getting started on my new floor until probably Thursday.

Just a heads-up and stuff.

My laptop's taking longer to get fixed than expected... Can I swap my turn to be *after* golfrman's this time around but not lose my spot in the next loop, by any chance? Or do I just sit on this until my laptop's back?

I ask because DROD doesn't run too well on my old computer. Well, nothing really does, but DROD takes forever to do anything. :?

Well, golfrman hasn't been around in a while, so I was going to skip to Chaco. But I'll put you behind him.

Your turn Chaco!

I suppose I'll go in a while; first I have to catch up on what I missed in this story.

EDIT:

Anyone have any hints at all? I finally figured the inner section (oh, so hard) but I apparently had an error in my plan of how to get out of the ring just before that (the one with the checkpoint).

How is that one possible? I have to drop both trapdoors, but I also have to get into the inner ring so I can do that section.

Actually, i guess he means because it's out of the Contests Board, so it makes no sense.

Actually, it's about half-done - I've gotten caught up in other projects. But, I do have the story and most of the puzzles. It's just not done yet.

Rest assured it will come soon.

Alright, here it is. I'm pretty proud of what I've done here.

(Also, I have supplied a hold description and ending, not to mention an empty master room at the beginning of the hold)

Let's see here... It's Hikari's turn. I've supplied you with some story to use. :)

Hmm. Hikari hasn't posted since October. He said his laptop was being repaired, but it really shouldn't take this long. Wonder where he went. I kinda miss the guy.

Keep posting,

EDIT: 900th post and 2222nd view. Cool.

I saw Hikari sometime Sunday, and he accepted to one of my Beta Boards that I started Friday. He could be using the computer at a library or something, so he doesn't have much time to post. I sorta miss him, too. Hurry up and come back, Hikari! :D

Edit:

Nice level, Chaco. The secret room is /crazy/! :thumbsup

Yep. I sure hope Hikari doesn't mind, I was just thinking "Wouldn't the mud block most of the spawn? Hey, let's make it solid and make it a secret room!" And then it worked out pretty well.

The other one just came about as a result of me playtesting my room multiple times. 2N3W is where it really starts getting interesting. :)

Hey, Jason? Looks like you've got copyrighted images from JtRH (namely, Foundation pit) in the new version. I'm almost positive that's technically illegal if you haven't asked Erik for permission.

Also, on a small sidenote, the guy I made in the previous scene seems to have changed personality all of a sudden - I was going for more of a casual guy. However, I do know that it's your scene and you can do with it what you want - and the entire level would be pretty pointless without this plot point.

EDIT:

In addition, in the exit room all you have to do to follow the guy is re-enter the room :)

Instead of calling him guy, maybe we should name him. :P
And Chaco, what do you mean by "You may have to save the world one day"? In the last room of your previous level. Interesting twist!

In Hikari's scene, the guys on the wall do explicitly mention that "he who is worthy will save the entire Eighth". I didn't really introduce anything new except for flying and the guy who actually liked Beethro pretty much, and was definitely more casual than the other People.

And then in Jason's scene he somehow becomes rude and irritating, as well as continuing the "worthy" theme.

Alright, fine, let's call him Bob. :)

Aaaah!

OK, um... drop me in wherever is appropriate if someone's working on a level right now >.<

Sorry I've been gone so long; it's been an... adventure, of sorts... getting things running and everything now that I'm on *a* laptop again... Not the same one, though. Let's just say I'm really really glad DROD runs on Intel-core Macs.

I should be back on a fairly regular basis now, though.
