Give me square 40 then!

Thanks Chris. I was glad to see someone actually headed in that direction, and you gave me the boost I needed to look more closely at those letters (that craven L was pretty well concealed).

I foresee a C in square forty. Now if you can just find a D you can win a DROD CD, or AP will win you a DROD baseball hat.

New puzzle soon!

What was the logic for inserting the link breaks? It seemed kind of random to me - I ended up inserting them wherever made the text look best.

What Chris said (even the replacements :) )

The line breaks were almost regular, they cycled 10,11,10,11,10,11,10,11,10,11,11. (Although I only just checked now) Copying the text to an editor and resizing the window got me a slopey version and then I added in the breaks manually.

Ummm.. I'll take square number 4.

Dimono, I think he was saying that your answer is technically incorrect---which it is, by order of operations.

I wasn't saying it's incorrect; you can say "1+2/3 == 1" if you want to. It's just more common to do the division first.

What I was looking for you to do was view the page source (which would have been in the first clue) to discover it's broken in to sets of 8, then copy that and view it in Notepad and narrow the window to 24 columns so a row of 0's appears on the left hand side, making the numbers and symbols plainly visible. Solve for question-mark.

As for your square... You've found a U! Which I guess means you've found yourself, and I'll bet you were in the last place you thought to look. If you can find an M and a G you win a mug from the DROD store.

New puzzle just as soon as I can come up with it :)

What are these things called? Transliterations with sounds? Transsounderations. Hmm.. Anyway, they are cool. When I was a younger I converted the whole of 'The Walrus and the Carpenter'. I should try and find that.

Here is another one (which almost makes sense even)

"Row!" says Czar.
Aired, vile huts (sub loo) shook her ears.
We, tanned, sow a yew.
