If you place a Stalwart NPC into the room, and give it Imperative: Critical Hero, and kill it, you get two sounds playing over one another: the normal "guard death sound" that was added in DROD 5.0, and the Stalwart-player-role death sounds.

In this case I would expect the player role death sound to take priority.

This occurred in DROD 5.1.0.6512, Mac version; I would expect this to also happen in other versions.

This was actually a problem with every monster type that had custom death sound. I've replaced it so that every critical NPC when killed plays the default splat sound (the same when killing a roach or Halph) so that the death scream is not hindered.

I tried stabbing a load of different critical NPCs of various player roles with custom death sounds. Halph, Beethro, Guard, Stalwart, Construct, Slayer.

All worked correctly in 5.1.1..alpha.2020-10-18. No additional guard death cries were heard.
