If you haven't heard about it, you should check out TEDTalks.

TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is an annual conference that invites scientists, philosophers, inventors, entertainers, etc., to give a 20 minute presentation about an "idea worth spreading." I spent about 4 hours last night watching one after another. There are people as diverse as Richard Dawkins and Rick Warren, Frank Gehry and J.J. Abrams, Jane Goodal and Tim Berners-Lee, and so on. Something for everyone.

I think you'll like this. They air every thursday on the 7:30 report. Having said that, they mostly satirise australian politics, so I doubt you would get most of it.

Cool. But did they really have to repeat themselves so much? Unlike the Americans who can't seem to retain anything for longer than 5 minutes, thus need constant reminder and reinforcement in their TV shows (like when you watching dvd set, yet they haven't bothered to cut out the 'what happened last week'), I can remember things.

Well, I really dug the repeated lines. Not because I needed to be reminded what was going on, but because they made me chuckle at their silliness. Plus, I think the video was a compilation of several episodes, and they probably do the lines every episode as a kind of unifying thing.

But what I really liked was how the Hittite was always giving it to the Summarian. That poor guy took the brunt of every experiment. You would have thought they'd at least switch sometimes, but no... every time he got slapped or popped in the face instead of the other guy.
