That is simply amazing.
But what is the bug? That mud is a similar colour to red tiles?

Yur-Val, please be more specific about what the bug is and what you would expect to happen if the game were working correctly. Thank you.

OK, so preliminary inspection of the uterus-murder hold has determined that:

1) It IS red

2) The NPCs seem to be producing smaller mud splatters than they should be I guess? Maybe that's the thing?

It does turn red, if you die at the same turn as you strike the mother. This is really not an issue though, and I can't say if this is what Yur-Val meant.

Well, I see this error isn't the first time. As for the serviceability of the game, then everything is fine.

The 'red' square (and the 'blue' or 'green' squares in the second hold) is a 1x1 stable tarstuff.

Although stabbing a mother removes it immediately, tarstuff is not removed until the *end* of the turn. This is so that multiple stabs can cut tar properly (it would be impossible to remove a 2x4 piece of Tar with 2 simultaneous cuts, otherwise).

So the only issue here is when the death of the player is displayed. I can agree that player deaths within a turn can seem a bit arbitrary, since the game has to attempt to finish the turn without anything else interfering. This display effect, however, is only a very minor symptom of all that.

He meant how tar destroying looks in code:

1. Calculate player move and mark where sword can cut Tar
2. Calculate mimics and monsters moves and mark where sword can cut Tar
3. Cut tar at marked places

The problem is most likely that during player calculation, the Tar is marked as Cuttable, but then the player dies on Hot Tile. When player dies, things like Monster Movement or Tar Cutting are not calculated, so this graphical artifact may be because of the fact, that this cut was supposed to be destroyed yet it wasn't, because player was killed.

At least that's what I think.
