I posted earlier that I had finally beaten TCB. Now I'm posting again to say that I've finally beaten Journey to Rooted Hold. This project took me about a year or two to do, and the game logged about 120 hours of playtime. Now I only have to slog through all the secret rooms and try to find the Dreampl--I mean, mysterious thing. Congrats to Caravel for such a great ending. :thumbsup

Congratulations. What was it like playing TCB then JtRH? I think most people did that in reverse (JtRH then TCB)

For one thing, seeing Beethro solve the room where

in TCB before actually doing the room made it a bunch easier.
And not having a secret at the end of the credits this time was a disappointment.
:~(
But they're both really great holds, and I suppose I will lose much sleep over finding and beating all the secrets.

JtRH was is a great hold.
I played most of it on two long train rides (no CaravelNet) and I only have scores for about half the hold.
So I'm replaying for the scores (not optimizing though) and for the story (now that I sort of know what's going on, I can put the level entrance texts and little story bits into context, it's a really ominous story when you know what's going on)

Also, B'hakhgra Du S'tra Moth'ness Ti. Does this mean anything?

Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.
Does that mean anything? Probably not. But it certainly adds mood to the story.
Unless you're trying to make a reference to the hold I haven't gotten to yet or have utterly forgotten, in which case... -_-

Just completed TCB. Difficulty wise I was a bit disappointed (there weren't any rooms I would be stuck for weeks, will see the secret ones), but the credits were enjoyable as usual. So... Perfection is next.

EDIT: Saw the secret ones, take my previous statement back.

This reminds me I still got some Official holds to finish. I think I'll start with JtRH and TCB, on which I'm doing pretty well, and after that do DDDD. And after that, (which probably won't be soon) I'll do the Halph Stories & Master Locks Expert.

There is a setting to automatically save a demo for every conquered room. You can select Upload My Scores later when you have Internet connectivity, and I believe they will be counted.

Yay. I just completed TCB. I was stuck on Abyssian Fortess for aaages.

Only completed 37% of the secrets though, so a way to go yet.
Also didn't find the

on that run through.

Twas great, as expected, though the last couple of levels grated a little.

I'm still stuck on some of the secret rooms. Currently a bit busy with other projects to finish them though :S

Now that I've beaten Tendry's Tale, I can return my attention to DDDD. I haven't even opened regular DROD yet, and I shudder to think what the re-adjustment process is going to be like. *shudder*
