Unless there's a deus ex machina in here somewhere, the wubba needs to activate all the pressure plates . . . and once the wubba is on either of the corner plates there's no evident way to prevent it from being fried a couple of moves out.

What am I missing?

This room took me the longest of any of the rooms on the level. It is indeed a problem of thinking inside the box.

Let me guess how you're doing it. You're attacking the corner plates like so, right?



That doesn't give you enough time - you need two moves, one to use the tunnel and one to get to the other tunnel. The third (to use the second tunnel) is free since you move first.

So, you need to save a move by accomplishing two things at once - the wubba hitting the plate and you going through a tunnel.

Maybe you should do it like this instead (reveal for spoiler):

Yeah, I tried this too . . . except that since I couldn't get the wubba in the position you've shown as "1" I thought a different approach was required.

There's only one way to safely get the Wubba to move horizontally or vertically -

Standing right above, below, left or right of it for a turn usually does the trick...

Well. I cannot even get the wubba to the specified place - there's no Beethro positioning I've found that can get the wubba to move straight N/S/E/W.

I've attached a demo typical of my efforts. Yes, haha, it's only a few dozen moves . . . where did I go wrong?
