Level 2: Thrice North Once West
If you want a character to die you can use the Imperative: Die command instead of an appearing character with a sword. Much more natural that way
Also, Level 2 Once North and Twice North are required rooms, so you might want to mark those as unrequired.
Overall, a nice start. Not very challenging, but pretty fun. I agree that some puzzles need more checkpoints.
I would be willing to make the portable orb image that you want if you specify some more detail. For instance, what size do you want your image (I'm guessing 22 pixels square?) and would you like a transparent background or an opaque, colored one?
