Full reverse is the last possible move, regardless of whether he does a bump or jump. Remember, with a jump, the order of attempted moves is just changed from the default to this:

1. move forward
2. jump forward
3. move right
4. jump right
5. move left
6. jump left
7. jump back

Niccus will have open space to the left, so he will go that way.

Well, my predicted potential death hasn't panned out, which is pretty much how I expected it to go.

Maurog was the snake facing elimination, but it required coppro to keep jumping until he filled up the entire column...something coppro rightly chose not to do, as it would have put him in a corner, and it's looking like corners are a risky place to be.

But it does look like we'll have a third confirmed death by tomorrow...

I just looked at the map, and there are really snakes in deadly positions, I just saw some potencial deaths, better said, a dead snake (I suppose it is the snake that jbluestein means.)
But if the moves are bad, not 1, 2 snakes will die. This is getting interesting (and i cant participate because of the holiday to Germany that killed me and didn't let me revive :~( )

Aw, crap. The worst part is I didn't even intend to go that direction at the beginning. I was sure I had put in B as my first command. :( It looks like the ones who jumped straight into the arenas have actually been the safest.

Strangely enough, I think it was due to a bug. And it happened again- some of the commands I saved got eaten for no reason. Of course, I can't say for sure if I actually hit the "save" button, since until now I'd been entering them in capital letters.

I was so looking forward to actually making some decisions, too. The only turns you can make if you go into the rings are usually at the corners.

Also, I would live if I were to move *after* Maurog. I find this... irritating. Move order doesn't seem to give an advantage at all, as it can either kill you or save you depending on the situation. I wish stuck snakes would wait until everyone else has moved before trying again. That way if you are higher in the move order you actually do have a slightly better chance to survive.

Yeah, sure jbluestein. I was worried you were going to jump, therefore messing up my plan of jumping, then bumping. If you had jumped, I would have bumped then jumped.

Oh well, it worked out fine. I'm still kind of miffed that I missed my chance to kill Beef Row though. :/

I think you were OK no matter what I did. I haven't really been in much of a position to affect any other snakes yet. Of course, now with my private snake alcove being slithered into by all these Johnny-come-lately snakes, who can say what will happen?

WOOHOOOO!!!! jbluestein bumped! I've been waiting anxiously for nearly two days (well, ever since Jason jumped over Chaco), hoping he would. (There were a few other, unlikely, possibilities.)

You could have killed me by jumping on your last move. :P I'd have ended up trapped between you and Chaco. It wouldn't necessarily have been in your best interests, but not an obvious mistake either. Something tells me you'd have grabbed it if you saw it.

I may even get a chance to actually make a move now. Not that I'm in the greatest position, but if I can only get to *play* a little.

Ezlo can still be saved by another serpent (though that's unlikely because that serpent will then die instead of him).

I didn't say I'd have died when I met Chaco. I'd have died 30 turns from now, against the left side of the area I'm going to enter. I'd have Ostegolectr1c's body and a wall in front of me, Chaco's head to my right, and jbluestein's head to my left. Trust me. I didn't spend two days agonising over this without checking it carefully.

Well, I believe you, partially because you're such a better DROD player than I am that I feel it's far more likely that I'm missing something here. But I really can't see how you would have faced an inevitable death, since jbluestein, had he jumped, would have faced yet another jump-or-bump option when he reached Ostegolectr1c's body so at worst you would still be at risk of dying.

Are you sure you counted enough Bs at the very start? Since you jumped, you must have typed some number of Bs followed by a J, and it was very easy to forget about the very very first bump (before you even reach the outer ring).

Oh Stephen4Louise has a long window of safety, that's true, but not nearly enough to carry him through the end of the game. He may or may not win, but he'll need major luck to win by just coiling to victory.
