Wow, that is an interesting history, thanks for explaining that! I will have to look into the game, as it seems quite fun.

That's it! Those are from the original PSP version. I just finished playing the 360 remake, and while I enjoyed the new graphics, I did miss the bonus modes.

Those of you now familiar with this game, it is a parody of the classic JRPG. Each level is an entire "game" and is given a title of "Half Minute Hero II" or "Half Minute Hero XXIX."

For each level, you have a timer counting down from 30 seconds for some story related reason, and when it finished, you lose. The time pauses when you enter town and need to shop or talk to people, but otherwise all the exploring and fighting happens with the timer. Combat is handled by your character moving to the right, and the enemies moving to the left. You hit in the middle and fight it out automatically.

The games pacing is, while hectic at times, very well tuned. You start out each "game" at level 1 and need to fight monsters to level up. You gain gold for each monster defeated which you can use to buy new equipment and, most importantly, pay the Goddess of Time to reset the clock to 30 seconds. The price, however, increases every time you pray to her.

This makes each level a puzzle based on an RPG, instead of really being an RPG in the true sense. There are multiple branching paths and lots of choices to be made. The single most important resource is time and how you spend it is where most of the games brilliance comes from.

There are bonus modes in the PSP version that re-imagine the mechanics as an RTS, tower defense and a shoot-em-up. These modes do exist in the XBox version, but are made to be like the base game.

They "improved" the graphics to be hand drawn instead of the pixel-art from the PSP, but you could use the original graphics instead.

That's right! I really enjoyed Crush when it first came out, and I have been eagerly awaiting Fez since I heard about it.

Like Crush, Fez is based on playing a 2D side scrolling game with a flat background. However, the terrain is actually 3D and you have the ability to rotate the perspective 90 degrees an then continue moving about in 2D from a different perspective.

Yeah, I rather doubt that.

At the moment, slimm tom has posted a picture. Your goal is to try to guess what game the picture is from. If you guess it right, then you may post a picture and let people guess it. Otherwise, you can do nothing but guess.

You are not understanding this.

Imagine that there are three people playing this game. Alice posts a picture. Bob and Carlos must then guess which game Alice took her picture from. Bob and Carlos may only guess; they cannot post their own pictures. If Bob guesses Alice's picture correctly, he gets to post a picture, and now Alice and Carlos have to guess.

Here, replace Alice with slimm tom and Bob and Carlos with everyone else, including you, playing this game. You are among the Bob and Carlos group, which means you are only allowed to guess what game the picture is from.

I would also say that you should stop caring about rank points (and not to mention calling people stupid), but you probably are not going to listen at this point.
