In fact, following the comments posted here I don't see why we can't have a go at finding out what the status of the Caravel team is.

If anyone here has specific roles (e.g. developer), abilities (e.g. site admin) or duties (e.g. hold administrator) on the forum or as part of Caravel, could you post here, with a brief description of what it is that you currently do/can do?

This is meant only to provide some information about exactly who's doing what and if there are any positions that obviously need filling. Please could people not turn this into point-and-complain flamewar; nothing will get done if you do, it will upset people, and it won't help correct anything that's already happened.

Okay: I'll go first.

I am a secondary site editor. I have the ability to add new posts and material to the DROD site and publish them, but no ability to edit anything I didn't put there in the first place.

I'm a hold administrator. My job is essentially to make sure that holds are completable before they are published to the Holds board.

Edit: HA also have a role in the SMS process...which is currently non-transparent. I'll get on that.

I do a few things here and at Caravel.

I have recorded trailer footage of both TCB and TT, and am planning to do the same for future projects.

I answer support requests, together with Patrick (Gamer_Extreme) and Mike occasionally. (Reminds me I need to work through the backlog we're having right now.)

I am a moderator, with standard editing and the ability to sticky/merge/move etc.

I am the Editor of the Official Drod Fan Site, (found by clicking the little Caravel Games logo in the upper right hand corner.)

My job is to update the site with pertinent information, or just fun stuff. And when the well runs dry my job is foster more creativity and innovation so the well fills up again.

I'm a Hold Administrator - like zex, I can review holds that have been submitted to the Hold Administration queue and figure out whether they're Holds Board worthy or not.

I'm also the Director of the Department of Grand Constructions, although to be honest that's really a background role and I haven't really used it to the extent that jbluestein did. However, on some occasions (for example, the most recent Christmas puzzles) I get involved with organization and content creation.

Mostly my job is to be that guy who helps out when people ask me to come on board. Occasionally I also create stuff (see: my holds, my published graphics, other people's holds and also I helped out with the next Smitemaster's Selection).

I'm also a Hold Administrator, although to my shame I really haven't done any hold administering in the past few months.

I'm also a mod for the Hints & Solutions boards, and I still have a few hundred mod points so I'm also modding up helpful posts across the boards.

That, and I'm currently tied in second place with Oneiromancer, rank point-wise.

I'm a Hold Administrator (see description above).

Apart from the usual HA stuff (which I haven't really done very much of lately), I maintain a couple of (more or less) useful tools the other HAs can use to make the job easier.

...which reminds me, I need to get cracking on updating those to handle DROD 3.2 / RPG.
