The Final Confrontation : Retribution : 7 South (0)

This one has got me gob-smacked.

My analysis so far:

By bouncing off the doors in area (1) I can get Haph to hit the orbs in (2) so that the doors north of (1) are all open when the bombs go off ... but those bombs will kill me.

Either Beethro or the mimic needs to travel along corridor (3), thus saving the Grinfindel from that bomb. I'm guessing it will be Beethro, who will use the fuse at (4) to kill someone important.

Thanks for that ... but I'm still stuck.

I can use the mimic on the orb near the top left corner, but then I cannot both hit the orb in the top right corner and go down corridor (3).

Do I need to go to the top left corner myself? I cannot see how to do that, because Halph needs to hit the bottom right orb in region (2) to get to the orb in the middle of the room, and I (er, that is, Beethro) will be shut into region (2) when Halph hits that bottom right orb.

Or am I missing something obvious again?

Well, heck. I'm still stuck. This is where I'm stuck:

I can get the mimic and put it into the upper left corner. Then, go into area 1, get Halph to open up all the doors in the line at the top and middle, and then get back out. The Grinfidel doesn't get blown up, but we're both stuck at the entrance area, and can neither get to corridor 3, nor get to the orb in the upper right.

The only way I can get down corridor 3 is if I don't put the mimic in the upper left--and then I can't get out of section 1.

Feeling really stupid right about now... I still don't get it. -_-

I see the order in which the orbs need to be activated, except I still can't figure out how to get out of section 1 after I activate the orbs. If I don't hit the orb that closes the 2 diagonal doors, then several necessary pathways are still blocked. If I *do* close the doors, then I can't get back out.

I hate to ask for outright spoilers, but I can't move on unless I finish this room...

OK ya got me! Have tried to detonate top bombs from section 1, but cannot find anywhere to hide.

The best I can achieve is to free the Grinfidel but he gets blown up almost immediately.

Have tried using the reset first and can escape section 1.

What am I missing???
