I'm going to work on getting downloadable copies to all the people who earned them in various ways. And also getting the beta-testers the release version instead of the testing build they have.

The CDs will follow later. I'm waiting for an order of CD cases to arrive, and there are a number of small tasks to complete to make the CDs really nice. For example, we are putting extra shareware demo/freeware games on them that people should enjoy and want to collect permission from authors to distribute more games than what we have now.

We should start shipping in a few weeks, and most places in the world will have the CDs in 3 to 4 weeks. For this first shipment, I'll send e-mails on file with CD orders to notify on the day I ship.

Hmm. I dunno, because we haven't finished deciding what goes on the CD. Most of the things on the CD you'd be able to download elsewhere--I'm not sure if all of it will be.

If anyone ends up bummed about buying downloadable-only instead of getting the CD, e-mail me (ErikH@CaravelGames.net) and we can work out a way where you pay just the $9 extra to buy the CD instead of full price.

I want to point out that Eytan Zweig deserves credit for writing the April Fool's announcement at the top of this topic. I wanted him to post it himself, but since he doesn't have a history of posting announcements it would have looked too suspicious.
