Different behaviour in Drod 4 and 5.

In Beginner's Set 1, Level16, 1N it was possible to solve the room from the N entry with Drod4.

In Drod 5 this is not possible see the two attached pictures.

Best wishes,

What is "Beginner's Set"?

Is the difference that the character is killable in DROD4 but not in DROD5.

When I look in the editor in TSS, the character has Imperative Invulnerable in its scripting.

Is it possible that there is a change made in TSS where invulnerable monsters will still spawn when they start the room under your sword?

In drod 4 the character is invisible.

I'm not sure I understand the issue and what is expected.

When I enter the room from the North in Drod 5 I get

[]

the room is not solvable entering from the North.

Regarding Drod 4 see my next post.

Best wishes,

When I enter the room from the North in Drod 4 I get

[]

and now I have an US entering form the North.

I think version 5 should behave like version4.

Best wishes,

You want the unintuitive, illogical behaviour, which causes a US here, rather than the fixed version?

The invisibility is another question, I think?

I want compatibility.

It was a bug though. "Invulnerable" doesn't mean "vulnerable on turn 0".

Unless I'm misunderstanding something, I don't think the DROD 4 behavior is the correct one, and I believe this was fixed for DROD 5. I don't think we should revert the fix.
