After you have downloaded the hold onto your computer, start AE, click on Where, click on Import, and navigate to where you have the hold stored on your computer.

edit: Hmm. I now see that you have posted this same question on "The Site" board and it has already been answered there.

A lot of holds have been made in versions later than architect's edition (in v2.x or v3.x, which are JtRH and TCB respectively).
Each one will be able to import holds from earlier versions.
So check this first.

Also, have you imported the hold and then chenged the location so you're playing the right hold?

And if you want to import holds, there's no real reason to use AE. I strongly suggest getting the TCB demo.

The TCB demo has some weird issues, though. For example, while the tiles fall back to the City defaults, the music doesn't, so anything that's not set to City is silent.

Hmm, actually... I bet you could add definitions to drod.ini for the music for the other styles. Just assign them all to use the city music, or something? But then if/when you get the full TCB, does it copy stuff from the demo? If so, that could be weird... argh. Brainsplode. Let me clean this up...
