Soo hard...

I haven't tried this game yet, but surely it's not harder than Owata!

Is it really harder than this?

Heh, I'll have to try that one too.

As for this.. it probably isn't for everyone, but this game is hilarious :D JUST as you think you're nearly to the next save point, you die. Then you get a little bit further and then.. you die.

Ah, fun.

Downloading to try it out, but I've always enjoyed the Jumper games as platformers that are very hard but are still beatable. From reading the description of this game, it sounds like it is just unfairly hard. But I guess I'll find out. Pretty big download for just a demo...

After having been slaughtered by the beginnings of both of them, well first of all, IWBTG is obviously inspired by Owata. They have a similar sensibility as far as what would be a hilarious way to slaughter players.

But each room in IWBTG is larger and has more traps. And requires timed double jumps for everything instead of just timed jumps. Also, IWBTG requires quicker reactions and is alot less forgiving.

And yeah. At least near the beginning, Owata is actually rather alot easier. Basically the diffrence is in Owata once you see the trick, the rooms usually aren't so bad. In IWBTG, once you see the trick, its still a nightmare to pull off.

EDIT: though uhh... does Owata ever have save points? So far on the route I'm getting furthest, I'm 6 rooms past the entrance and no saves yet.

Minor Spoiler:

There are a select few password points in owata (which they added recently)... I think the game is still 'under construction' somewhat though, as there doesn't seem to be a definitive end in some routes.

There's several paths you can take though, and at least one has an end to it.

Personally, I just ended up watching footage of it on youtube. XD

I saw a link to this earlier on this forum and... now I've got a perfect file on medium in the current version (the only difference between difficulties is the amount of save points).

It's kind of cool how you can struggle with a room for 15 minutes and when you finally get it, it becomes much easier to pull off again and again.

Some very creative and funny stuff if you don't mind playing some sections excessively.

What you should do is look up--it's Cloud..something or other. He has a fully narrated version, and it's absolutely hilarious. I believe it may have naughty words, I don't remember. It's on youtube.

A person on YouTube by the name of UltraJMan also has a full run of the game.

Personally this isn't quite the sort of game I'd play if they made a Mac version - yeah, it's rewarding when you complete it, but it looks really stressful too.

Also, some of the sections are mean. Curse you disappearing/reappearing blocks!

EDIT:

For some silly reason I decided to play Owata, seeing as it's Flash.

...it's horrible. But, it's also very funny - I admit I was both horrified and amused to see the...

With games like these, the stress actually adds to the fun. It's less about the actual game and more about the satisfaction you get when you beat it.

This is now officially the funniest game I've ever played. I crack up at virtually every new death.

And how about this for an action shot.. makes me laugh every time I remember it. This basically sums up the game for me.
(Warning - does contain a minor spoiler.)

Lol are you a girl in the game triple M? Maybe it's the difficult setting I'm at... Imposable... I'm at the next room.

If you play on Medium (the lowest difficulty level), it gives you a bow in your hair and extra save points labelled "WUSS".

Don't play the game in that setting - there are NO SAVE POINTS if you do that.

Hehe, Ninja Gaiden Black does the same kinda thing if you play on the 'easiest' difficulty, (which you can only access by dying several times on the first level...)

It gives you cute ribbons as accessories, and in cutscenes, the characters kinda look down on you like a novice. ^^

I actually prefer the game that way though... the ribbons are kinda cute, and it's nice to be able to play through the game with it being less frustrating!

In conclusion, more tough games need girly ribbon modes. :P

I just beat the guy!

And despite the fact the game crashed a lot while playing.. it was awesome. In fact, it wouldn't have been as awesome if it hadn't crashed a lot.. if you know what I mean ;) ;)
