I don't have time to look through the entries yet, but for those who've been putting mine down so far on grounds of not being 'in the spirit of the competition'...

I'm an artist. The most programming I've ever been able to wrap my mind around computer-wise is HTML, and that's not real programming. DROD scripting is extremely arcane to me, and I was rather surprised that I even managed to come up with what I did.

Think of it from Beethro's perspective. It's like a live infomercial, hmm?

Besides, I wasn't actually trying to win; I said as much in the contest discussion thread.

Chaco, when you make the full thing, do try not to do anything that makes the story part of mine wind up looking odd in relation to everything else, hmm?

Let me just say - I'm really sorry Larry didn't submit an official entry, because wow, that's a cool widget. Not only is the idea original, but there are three great puzzles included to show it off. I would have happily given it a 10 had I had the option.

Sure, I helped a bit with the scripting, but what's impressive here is thinking up this great new application for the script and puzzles that use it, and that's 100% Larry. When he originally asked for debugging help I wondered what he wanted it for and I'm very happy to find out. Now if I could just solve 1E...
