Interestingly, all the deaths occured either near the top or the left, and 4 out of 7 occured near the top-left corner. But looking at the bottom/bottom-right areas, it looks like soon that's about to change - I can't see anything concrete right now but those are seriously crowded areas.

Looks to me like you'd be forced to U-turn, jump left, and then end up in the SW corner area. I don't see obvious death for you...yet.

The SW corner area is a dead end. (And Stephen4Louise's head would've prevented U-turn to right)

In any case, Stephen4Louise bumped, which is the better option for me. Or the lesser bad: It'll be difficult to find succesful routes in the near future...

Doom would have been forced to U-turn, then jump straight ahead into a dead square, not to the left to relative safety.

Tahnan, Darkmatt and Doom are all fighting for a single entry spot to the center, and they don't really have anywhere else to go. I'm not sure who'll win this, but it's not going to be pretty for the other two serpents. (by which I don't mean that they're necessarily dead, but the only place they could leave to is the bottom-right corner which is not somewhere you'd want to end up).

I don't know if doomed is the right term yet...he'll certainly have a difficult time getting back to the center, but he does have options that do not include death. Troubled might be a better choice.

But that wasn't my foresight.

The J indicates a jump. The P's are to prevent the auto-URL thingie from working. At this point, he could then either jump and head left, or bump and go right.

That said, the solution for it that *I* had worked out for in case of getting myself in there somehow is:

Another important turn behind. Tahnan missed his chance to get a free route into the center that would've killed me as well. He could've jumped over me due to movement order and have U-turned at the bottom left corner, before turning north on the way back.

That ends the 60+ turn horror-streak of me not being able to do anything and nearly getting killed twice. (note to self: Plan ahead. More. Even more.) I should now have a guaranteed route into the center, no matter what Tahnan and Darkmatt do. That is, if my analysis doesn't have any flaws...

Heh, I see your route. Darkmatt could kill tahnan due to your actions, by the way.

About Someone Else and trick- there's no way either of them can go straight into the middle chamber, so they will be fighting over the single exit to the west... which leads to a big mess. It's possible to get out of there to the South, in at least two ways. Then they'd have to exit south again! They should be able to get into the middle chamber from that final arena but by that time the exits might be sealed from the other side, or lead to death traps.

By the way, Someone Else is the only snake that can do this. All trick can do is make sure Someone Else can't leave.

You know, I'm a member of the National Puzzlers' League, I've helped write the MIT Mystery Hunt one year, I place decently at the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament...but no matter how good I get at puzzles, I will always, always have terrible spacial perception. Visual puzzles confuse the living daylights out of me.

In fact, I didn't see that there was a square free behind you, nor did it occur to me to jump forward and then plan to jump backward. As it is, I was surprised to find myself here ten hours ago, until I squinted at the screen and said, "Oh, clockwise."

I fear at this point I'll run into Darkmatt again, with less success this time. If I'm lucky, I can fight techant and Chris for a jump spot out of here, but I don't know that I'll be that lucky.

I'm not so sure about your analysis, I don't see any way for you to go to the middle because you will jump foreward, then bumb clockwise and after that, you will jump clockwise, your snake will not make a U-turn. Besides, Darkmatt still has the big possibility to kill you. :?

Interesting... Watcher is about to turn one of the 'safe single-player coiling zones' into a deathtrap. It will be interesting to see if this action is going to result in anybody's death later on.
